Karen Phillips welcomes you to the stud which is situated just outside Epping and within hacking distance of Epping Forest. Karen is a BHSAI and also qualified as an AI Technician in 2007. Having been around horses for the past 40 years she has gained a wealth of experience in horse manangement and welfare.

Shingle Hall Stud primarily breeds good quality sports horses and ponies but can also accommodate a small number of liveries.
All our stables have rubber flooring , equipped with automatic waterers and are of a minimum size of 12' x 12'. We have several larger loose boxes together with a foaling box equipped with CCTV. Wood shavings are also used at no additional expense. We follow a sensible worming programme the costs of which will be passed on to owners, but is administered free.
We have a full sized arena (40m x 20m) installed by Charles Britten.
The menage is also floodlit and we also have a range of showjumps and fillers for use free of charge.
For those that require tuition we have a BHS Assistant Instructor on site.
Not only do we have the luxury of Epping Forest, which boasts almost 6,000 acres, on our doorstep but we have our own private off road track of approximately two miles around farmland so you can hack away from the roads in tranquillity.
Throughout Epping Forest there are over 30 miles of 'gravel' tracks and posted rides which are kept open permanently, unless requiring repair.
Absolutely ideal for youngsters on their first outing. You may even come across the odd cross country fence!
When the crops are harvested you will also be able to ride across the stubble fields.
Horses and ponies are turned out individually or in pairs either in post and railed or electric fenced paddocks.
